“BE CONSISTENT!” “POST AT THE SAME TIME/DAY EVERY WEEK!” “POST ON YOUR STORIES EVERY DAY!”
When you’re constantly being pushed by social media experts to be consistent, it’s easy to drill yourself down in the content creation process only to feel burnt out a couple weeks later. Burn out from content creation can lead to things like:
And the list goes on.
But I’m happy to share that burnout can be avoided. Here are 5 social media marketing tactics that will help you stay consistent and out of the burnout zone:
Mini Series are the talk of the town for 2025. But it’s an incredible way to connect with your audience and take them along for a journey, personal or professional. For example, say an influencer is training for their first marathon. A great mini series is to highlight the ups and downs of their journey as they train and experience something completely new for them.
But what’s the purpose? Every mini-series has their own purpose and desired outcomes, but most strive to inspire audiences to join in on the experience and give advice.
This is quite literally my favorite tactic for when I’m feeling bleh about content creation. I love taking a blog I’ve written (hi, yes. I will be repurposing this one onto socials) and cutting it down into smaller, snackable pieces of content.
Basically, this whole blog could be turned into a mini series about content creation burnout. đź‘€
A popular example of repurposing long-form content are podcast clips you may see all over your social media feeds. Those are repurposed from a larger piece of content and often try to get you to watch the full episode.
There’s absolutely no shame in taking content you’ve posted in the past (even a year old) and turning it new again whether its through a different format or even a new perspective. Especially if the content did well, you want to continue reinforcing those specific messages if their align with your audience.
You can get away with reposting the exact same piece if you feel it aligns with your brand personality still. Obviously, don’t do this so often that people start to notice, but a great way to do this is by utilizing Instagram’s new feature Trial Reels.
Trial Reels pushes out content to non-followers before posting onto your page for your audience and followers to see if that content piece can gauge a new audience. I’ve done this twice now and have seen some benefits in terms of reach come out of it! Just be selective with the content you push out!
In a place that’s so materialistic and superstitious, social media audiences crave raw and vulnerable content. If you feel comfortable enough, share your experience with burnout and how it’s affected you. You may be surprised with how many people open up with you in the comment section. This will help you realize that you’re not alone and may give you some inspiration!
There’s nothing that gives you better inspiration for content than experiencing life itself. Instead of digging inside your brain for constant content ideas, put the screens down and take in the lessons and experiences you live throughout life for content.
We can only think of so many ideas when we trap ourselves inside our bubbles and stay secluded. Getting out of our comfort zones will not only bring content inspiration, but get you connected with other like-minded individuals you can network and collaborate with in the future.
Sometimes, burnout is inevitable, but you can reduce its occurrence and shorten the length of it by adding in this helpful key tactics! NOW GO CREATE!
